Detailed Inspection

We examine mattresses, box springs, bed frames, headboards, nearby furniture, and baseboards. We're looking for live bugs, shed skins, eggs, and fecal spots. This tells us the extent of the infestation and where to focus treatment.

Multi-Method Treatment

We use a combination of approaches: residual sprays on surfaces where bed bugs travel, dust in cracks and voids, and direct treatment of harborage areas. For heavy infestations, heat treatment may be recommended for certain items.

Follow-Up Visits

Bed bug eggs are resistant to most treatments and hatch over 1-2 weeks. We schedule follow-up visits to eliminate newly hatched bugs before they can reproduce. Most infestations require 2-3 treatments for complete elimination.

Usually not. Most mattresses can be treated and protected with encasements. We only recommend disposal for severely infested or damaged mattresses. Throwing away furniture without treatment can actually spread bed bugs to other areas.

Can bed bugs spread disease?

Bed bugs are not known to transmit diseases. However, their bites cause itching, and scratching can lead to secondary infections. The psychological impact—anxiety, insomnia, stress—is often the most significant effect.

Will one treatment be enough?

Rarely. Bed bug eggs take 7-10 days to hatch and aren't killed by most treatments. We schedule follow-up visits to catch newly hatched nymphs before they mature and reproduce. Expect 2-3 treatments for complete elimination.
